With screen casting, you can enjoy videos on bigger screens by projecting the browser-based video player to a compatible device using Google Chromecast or Apple AirPlay. For successful casting, ensure that the following elements are in place.
Step 1: Prepare for Casting with a Wi-Connection
- Ensure Wi-Fi Connection: Connect your mobile device, tablet, or computer to the same Wi-Fi network as your target Chromecast or AirPlay-enabled television or device.
Step 2: Initiate Casting from the Video Player
- Open the Video Platform: Access our Infobase platform in a supported browser from your mobile device, tablet, or computer.
- Browse to the video resource and Locate the Cast Icon: In the bottom right corner of the video player or top left of the expanded video player, the cast icon will be present indicating that the feature is available for the browser and device:
- For iOS devices, select the AirPlay icon.
- For Android devices, select the Chromecast icon.
- Select Your Casting Target: Choose your compatible TV or streaming device from the list of available casting targets.
Step 3: Control Playback
Once connected, control playback and volume directly from your casting device. You can pause, play, or adjust volume as needed.
Step 4: Stop Casting
To stop casting, tap the cast icon again, then select Disconnect.
Troubleshooting Notes:
* Some app layouts may vary and as a result, some casting functions may appear differently across devices.
* For successful casting, ensure that all devices and browsers to access the Video on Demand product are compatible with the desired casting mechanism.
